Speeding ticket in NYS?

I got my first ticket, and I have a DJ license in NYS. I was supposedly going 38 in a 15 school zone. The police officer said he had to go 38 to catch up to us but that's because he waited until i was 1/4 mile away from him, sped up and caught us. I was going 32 miles per hour, I have a digital speedometer and remember looking down at it frequently. Anyone have suggestions? Does anyone know what the fines and points will be approximately? It has now been 2 months since I got my ticket and my lawyer has heard nothing from the court.
