Are drug users in a way the smart ones?

First off I AM NOT SAYING DRUG USE IS SMART NOR HEALTHY Ok just had to get that out of the way but what I'm saying is drug users will sacrifice material items for short-lived happiness and isn't that in a way what lifes about happiness and enjoyment regardless how it comes to you?
