How do I get my Injured dog to eat, when the vetranarian can't?

I have a small Maltese that was severly injured & Paralyzed by a Lg Dog. He is in the Hosp till tomorrow. But the Vet can't get him to Eat Anything at all. Nor would he eat for me. Any Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
